New WiFi technologies have now allowed WiFi access to become available in-flight onboard commercial planes. Many of the major U.S. airlines have now begun to equip their planes with new in-flight WiFi service. We have put together an in-flight WiFi service fees table for the major U.S. airlines.

The majority of the airlines use the gogo in-flight WiFi service which allows any WiFi enable devices (from laptop to smartphone) to connect to the Internet in-flight. Note: Airlines are slowly adding this new WiFi technology to their fleet, so don’t be surprise if you still can’t get a WiFi access in-flight on your next plane ride.

Delta currently seems to be the most equipped airline to provide WiFi with around 500 aircrafts that already offering in-flight WiFi.

    Shame that so many US airlines charge, charge, charge for this, while, in Europe, Norwegian Air offers it free of charge.

    I guess “competition” doesn’t always drive down prices. Then again, the similarity of these prices indicates collusion, rather than competition.

    Use the inflight wifi and rent an ipad from Travel Entertainment iPads and you’ll have hours and hours of entertainment in the air. The time will fly by.
