Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (IATA: ATL, ICAO: KATL, FAA LID: ATL), locally known as Atlanta Airport, Hartsfield Airport, or simply Hartsfield, is located seven miles (11 km) south of the central business district of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It has been the world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic and landings and take-offs. [2][3]. Additionally, Delta Air Lines operates the world’s largest airline hub from the airport.

Hartsfield held its ranking as the world’s busiest airport in 2006, both in terms of passengers and number of flights, by accommodating 84.8 million passengers and 976,447 flights respectively according to the Geneva-based Airports Council International. Many of these flights are domestic flights from within the United States where Atlanta serves as a major transfer point for flights to and from smaller cities throughout the Southern United States. Fifty-seven percent of Hartsfield-Jackson’s airport passengers do not stay in Atlanta but go on connection flights elsewhere.[citation needed] As an international gateway to the United States, Hartsfield-Jackson ranks seventh; JFK International in New York City is first.[4]

The Atlanta airport has more nonstop flights and destinations than any airline hub in the world. It serves 243 nonstop destinations, including 72 international destinations in 45 countries. [5]

    You can find a nice waiting area near Delta gates at terminal D. There are stool with counter top plus tons of outlets for your laptop.

    Use Boingo WiFi service at Hartsfield instead of the other WiFi provider as it is the cheapest at this airport at $6.95 Daily and $21.95 Monthly price.

    Just went through Atlanta last night and got to try out their WiFi service while waiting for our delayed flight. The WiFi signal and speed were both excellent. The power outlets weren’t too hard to locate as they are banks of outlet at about every 2-3 columns that span the terminal.

    The only thing was that the terminal gets really busy with a lot of people but that is what you would expect from a busy airport. Try to look for seat near the ends of the terminal, you will find less people and more available seat to rest or work.

    I’ve now been flying Delta 4 weeks back and forth to Atlanta. Consistently, the atlanta wifi does not work. I use t-mobile hotspot and every time, I get errors or it will seem to connect but never actually connect. I’ve called tech support but t-mobile blames atlanta, and atlanta blames t-mobile resulting in never resolving my problem.

    Run away from Atlanta wifi. It will drive you nuts trying to connect.

    I travel thru cities every week – and use Wifi services when ever and where ever possible. I have a Boingo account and have NEVER had so many problems as I do in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. I am dropped every 2-3 minutes, the system does not seem to recgonise anything but IE to log in, and the support ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!!. I’m with Jim above. If you need internet communications – DONT count on this airport to provide it. No matter HOW much you are charged for it. I had to log in TWICE just to write this review…. Point proven

    I have flown through the Atlanta airport several times this year. I have never been able to successfully use my Boingo Unlimited account there. My Boingo account works at other airports, but not at ATL. My experience is similar to commenter 5.

    t-mobile sucks beyond all recognition here. I truly wish they would close up shop rather than pretend to have any service at all. Every time I connect to them (Delta Club Rooms) the connectivity is beyond the slowest I’ve ever seen.

    Seriously T-MOBILE start all over or just GIVE IT UP.
