Tip: there’s another ssid, I don’t know what it’s called.

Wi fi costs money here. A big boingo ripoff

  • Joe

I have to pay for wifi, really… What a joke! Where is the FCC when you need them?

At least the WiFi connection was highly rated as excelent. But, yeah, it sucks sometimes when you have to pay for WiFi connection. :p

  • Cwill

Ridiculous to not have free wifi. I don’t travel often enough to warrant paying for boingo, but I would love the ability to use the Internet while I wait for my delayed flight.

  • pissed

What a bunch of crap. If I have to pay for everything under the sun with the airlines and a bowl of noodles cost $10.95. WiFi should be free for the small time I use it.
    Disappointed…..

  • Chris

No surprise that WiFi is fee-based at this airport…..it’s in close proximity to DC, and the current “Buck Stops Here” guy is interested in all of our bucks!

  • Suzanne

Annoyed that wi-fi is not free here, will choose another hub next time.

  • Lyn

BWI has free wireless right by the McDonald’s at gate D20! Am using it now.

  • Suzy

Just another example of corporate greed. Free wifi should be standard in all airports. Every single body in the airport is worth $100 minimum…probably more like $300 average. Airport administration should be ashamed if they don’t provide this for free…I guess they, airline execs, and everyone else making plenty of money couldn’t bear to give up their little luxuries for the sake of everyone who allows them to have jobs. It’s a microcosm of what is wrong with America and what Obama is trying to fix. Corporate America has become so greedy — to the detriment of us all.

  • E

McDonald’s offers free wifi. They are located at gate D20. Maybe some other restaurants do as well… Too bad you can get a connection on a plane nowadays and not at BWI :-/

  • Amy

Chris, what an idiotic comment considering Dulles airport, which is in DC where the so-called ‘“Buck Stops Here” guy’ lives, has free WiFi.

  • Dan

Wow! What a bunch of whiners. I want my free WIFI, waaaahhhh!!!. Those greedy corporate executives are so evil. Shows that you (Suzy in particular) are clueless. You think Dulles, McDonald’s, Starbucks, etc, etc, have free wifi because they’re more charitable than BWI. The only reason Starbucks (or anyone else) has free wifi is because greedy corporate executives determined that their profits go up because of it. The only reason you have WIFI anywhere, free or otherwise, is because greedy corporations built the network that deliver it. As far as BWI goes, I’ll gladly pay 30% less to fly into WIFI-free BWI, than the prices you pay to fly into Dulles with their free WIFI. What’s wrong with America is whiners like you who want the government to step in every time you have a little inconvenience.

BWI has good power infrastructure, but all the WIFI seems to be broken, free or otherwise. Back to my own cell phone tethering :/
